This week we were thrilled to welcome Chiel Grevers and Marlous Luikens from Klaver Fietsparkeren to our London office. It is the first time in two years we’ve seen our Dutch partners in the UK, and there was plenty to discuss and many stories to share.
Turvec and Klaver have been partners for nearly 7 years. They manufacture many of our products, including the 2ParkUp two-tier racks and Cubic cycle shelters. Everything Klaver makes meets the highest design and manufacturing standards, giving us the trust to deliver high quality cycle parking across the UK and Ireland.
We discussed the state of the current cycle parking market, benchmarking current progress here to the leading Dutch installations. Happily we were able to show our increased cycling numbers have translated to vastly improved UK bike parking facilities.
Klaver are at the vanguard of Dutch cycle parking innovation, and it was fantastic to get a glimpse of the future, with developments to e-bike charging, bike shelters, and two-tier parking racks well on the way.
Lastly, we were able to get out on Boris bikes and have a whistle-stop tour of London. We could show off the segregated cycle lane of Farringdon Street where our office is located, and the famous embankment cycle route too.
Fortunate enough to have a beautiful sunny day, we caught both the changing of the palace guards and a view of the newly refurbished Big Ben.
Here’s a selection of photos from the trip!
